The Soul of Australia

This piece, first performed by the Gallipoli Choir at the 2013 ANZAC Day services in Gallipoli, Turkey, is a stirring anthem for SATB choir. Featuring a moving text by Australian poet and journalist, J.H.M. Abbott (1874 – 1953), The Soul of Australia evokes a sense of Australian pride and remembrance. Perfect repertoire choice for any ANZAC service or commemoration. Optional concert band accompaniment available.

“Shall Australia mourn for the sons she has lost? Shall Australia weep? Nay, great though the cost. Joy mingles with grief and pride mingles with pain for our boys died like heroes and died not in vain.”
