The ladies were of course taken with the text, but once they began with the music and the beautiful marrying of lyrics and harmony, they were completely sold. They especially love the “eja” section, enjoying the “tangibility” of the parts and how they work together and unfold into the words “I Love Thee….” in their words, “just breathtaking!

I just wanted to write and let you know how much our girls have enjoyed singing your music. We prepared Ave Maria as part of our repertoire for our tour to Austria and Czech Republic. They frequently broke out into song in various castles and churches. When we were in the church in Eisenstadt were Haydn was buried, I was looking at the mausoleum, the girls were in the church and they started singing your Ave Maria. It was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes
Thank you so much for these beautiful pieces. I will definitely be looking at some more of your music.

The finals for ChoralFest were on the last Tuesday of the term and my big choir was in the finals. They sang “I Make The World A Better Place” as one of their 3 pieces and they won!!!!!!! The children loved it because it had a great message with meaningful and age appropriate text that they understood and could relate to – they were able to ‘tell the story’. It was quick to learn because of the repetition with no variations for different verses. The range and tessitura made it a very ‘singable’ piece and the students loved the beautiful harmonies. Thanks for writing such a great piece!

Harvey is a great crowd pleaser. My Years 4 to 6 all boys choir love singing this 2-part song, because the lyrics are humorous and give a wide scope for actions, while the melody is in a jazz genre. Because the song is about the composer’s own dog, it makes singing it even more special. I give Harvey the Human Dog an A+!

My little Junior Choir came third in the folk singing unison or parts (Yr 6 and under) at the eisteddfod today. “Great repertoire choice” was one of the comments. These guys are Yr 2, 3 and 4 and they were up against mostly Yr 5 and 6 groups. Very proud of them and we loved your arrangement of “The Birch Tree”. Thank you!
